Rite of Passage Ceremonies

  • Come home to yourself

A rite of passage marks a change in your life and your place in society. In many traditions, those undergoing a rite of passage would even change their names to signify their rebirth into a new phase of life.

What is a rite of passage?

Throughout history, our ancestors marked life’s great transitions with ritual—ceremonies that acknowledged the significance of change, provided a sacred container for transformation, and wove individuals back into the fabric of their communities.

In today’s world, many of these rites of passage have been lost, leaving us to navigate profound transitions without recognition, support, or sacred witnessing.

A rite of passage is what moves us from one state of being to a new, more expanded state of consciousness. It’s the means by which we grow up. Our modern culture has lost this path.

In many traditions, those undergoing a rite of passage would even change their names to signify their rebirth into a new phase of life.

One of my callings is to resurrect this practice for our modern times.

Rite of Passage Ceremonies

Honoring life’s sacred thresholds with meaning, intention, and reverence.

As a ceremonialist, I help reclaim these traditions by creating personalized or group rites of passage ceremonies for any significant life threshold. Whether you are stepping into a new identity, closing a chapter, or moving through a deep transformation, ritual provides a way to honor the moment, integrate the experience, and step forward with clarity and purpose.

Honoring life’s sacred transitions

I offer custom, heart-centered ceremonies to mark moments such as:

🌿 Menstrual rites: Menarche (first bleed) ceremonies, cycle-honoring rituals, and womb-centered healing.

🌙 Menopause & hysterectomy rites: Honoring the shift into wisdom years with grace and empowerment.

🔥 Birth & parenthood rites: Welcoming a child into the world, marking the shift into parenthood, or closing the portal of birth.

🌀 Grief & endings: Holding space for loss, death, divorce, or other profound transformations.

🌾 New beginnings & life changes: Career shifts, relocations, stepping into leadership, or reclaiming personal power.

A ceremony as unique as you are

Every ritual is crafted in collaboration with you, ensuring that it reflects your beliefs, values, and personal journey. Whether private or shared in community, your ceremony may include:

Sacred space creation (altar-building, elemental invocation, ritual objects)

🌿 Ancestral and earth-based wisdom (herbs, movement, symbolic acts)

🌀 Guided reflection and storytelling (journaling, spoken word, music)

🔥 Transformational elements (fire ceremonies, water blessings, rites of release)

🌙 Community witnessing and integration practices

This is for you if…

✅ You want to acknowledge a major life transition in a meaningful way.

✅ You feel called to honor your journey with ritual and sacred witnessing.

✅ You are seeking a deeper connection to ancestral wisdom and cyclical living.

✅ You want a ceremony that reflects your unique path, not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Work with me

A rite of passage is more than a moment—it is a threshold, an initiation, and an opportunity to step forward with intention. Let’s create a ceremony that honors your transition with depth, beauty, and meaning.

Caves of initiation

Caves of initiation

Caves have been used as sites for initiation ceremonies since time immemorial. Countless traditions and myths speak of this. Caves are often seen as secret passageways to the underworld, where you come undone, are faced with the reflection of your deepest self, and reunite with your own wholeness and goodness.

  • Osage Forest of Peace is a magical place, and the retreats offered here are well worth the time, effort, financial investment, and participation. In the Rites of Passage retreat (initiating into perimenopause/menopause), not a single detail was missed. This retreat was a wonderful, connected, empowering experience. Jeni was a terrific guide, offering a wealth of wisdom, enthusiasm, modeled vulnerability, and passion. Thank you so very much for creating this space and for responding to the inner call with a willing “yes.”

  • My sister and I attended the menopause and perimenopause rite of passage retreat. Everything was absolutely perfect! It was well-thought out, insightful material. The accommodations were sufficient, the meals were incredible, the setting was spectacular! Such an enjoyable experience!
